You don't need to do more. You actually need to do less.

Doing less can feel surprisingly uncomfortable when you've spent years building a life around being busy.
There is always another email to answer. Another problem to solve. Another idea to act on. Another thing you could be doing to grow the business.
And when you're successful, there's no shortage of legitimate reasons to keep working.
But sometimes you're not working because there's actually more that needs to be done.
You're working because you don't know what to do with yourself when there isn't.
Because slowing down means being alone with yourself.
It means being bored.
It means sitting in the space you've been filling with work, responsibility, achievement and stimulation.
And your nervous system may have become so accustomed to being "on" that doing nothing doesn't feel relaxing.
It feels uncomfortable.
So you keep going.
You tell yourself you'll slow down when you finish this project, hit the next revenue goal, hire the right person or finally get everything under control.
Except there will always be something else to do.
At some point, the work isn't learning how to manage more.
It's learning how to be with less.
Less urgency.
Less stimulation.
Less responsibility you've unnecessarily taken on.
Less pressure to make every moment productive.
To have an afternoon with nothing planned and not immediately fill it.
To sit with yourself without reaching for work.
To experience rest without needing to earn it first.
Because the life you've worked this hard to create isn't supposed to be something you're too busy to actually live.
